Division of Enrollment Management positions IUPUI for greater student success
Ongoing efforts ensure the continuing success for our students: Enrollment Services has transitioned into the Division of Enrollment Management.
Our commitment to student success is paramount and through this change, part of IUPUI’s strategic plan, we will be able to expand our reach and build enrollment. The Division of Enrollment Management will work with the Division of Undergraduate Education, schools and other units on campus to ensure a comprehensive and collaborative approach to planning and implementing a coordinated student enrollment experience, incorporating both undergraduate and graduate/professional students.
Dr. Rebecca Porter, executive director of Enrollment Management and associate vice chancellor for Student Services, will lead the new division that will also comprise the offices of Undergraduate Admissions, Diversity Access and Achievement, Registrar, Office for Veterans and Military Personnel, Student Financial Services, Student Scholarships, and the IUPUI & Ivy Tech Office of Coordinated Programs (Passport).
One of the four basic tenets of the strategic plan’s “Success of our Students” focus, enrollment management relies on a data-driven set of activities that will enable IUPUI to more directly influence student enrollment and success. In coordination with the Division of Undergraduate Education, schools and other units, enrollment management activities generally include pre-college outreach and engagement, recruitment, initial enrollment and transition to college, retention, timely graduation and alumni engagement.
The ultimate goal for enrollment management activities is creating satisfied, successful and active graduates of the campus who as educated citizens contribute to the quality of life in Indiana and beyond.
